Sustainability at Williams & Hill

At Williams & Hill, seeking greater efficiency is baked into how we run our business. Whenever we find new ways to cut our emissions or waste, we share our findings with the rest of our industry – as they do with us. Together, all corners of the art industry are taking urgent action on sustainability.

Our work on sustainability

Proud members of the Gallery Climate Coalition (GCC)

The GCC is a group of hundreds of art organisations and individuals, working together to reduce our industry’s CO2e and work towards zero waste. All members have pledged to cut the sector’s CO2e emissions by at least 50% and achieve near-zero waste – both by 2030 – by sharing knowledge, campaigning and embarking upon joint projects.

Always seeking improvements

Throughout our entire organisation, we factor sustainability into every decision we make. This includes, for example:

  • our choice of partners and suppliers
  • energy supply contracts for our buildings
  • our staff travel policies
  • our choice of packing and crating materials
  • using road or sea as an alternative to air, where possible

Our Green Team

Within Williams & Hill, we have a dedicated team to oversee our sustainability efforts. Our Green Team includes representatives from every part of our business. They meet regularly to track and review our progress and make future-facing decisions.
